The Native CDFI Network, founded in 2009 to unite Native CDFIs and advance policy priorities important in Native communities, has formed an official steering committee comprised of 13 experienced professionals in the Native community and economic development field to lead the organization through its next phase of development. Over the next year, the Native CDFI Network steering committee will execute plans for the organization to reach foundational goals, creating peer-to-peer mentoring and sharing opportunities for network members and strengthening the Native CDFI industry to ensure Native peoples are represented in national policy decisions.
