We’re excited to welcome two exceptional professionals to the Native CDFI Network team: Alex Mendoza, CFO, and Stephanie Prater, Senior Financial Manager.
Alex Mendoza, a member of the Makah Tribe of Washington, joins us with over 16 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. His career has focused on creating economic inclusion for historically underserved communities, with a special passion for uplifting Native voices. Prior to NCN, Alex was the Director of Structured Finance at IFF, a certified CDFI. He has also worked at the CDFI Fund in Washington, D.C., and Deloitte Tax LLP in Chicago. Alex holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Washington and an MS in Accountancy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. We’re excited for Alex to bring his wealth of experience and dedication to NCN.
Stephanie Prater brings a wealth of financial expertise from her experience as a Senior Accountant at a tax firm in Central Nebraska. Living in Saint Paul, Nebraska with her family, Stephanie holds a BA in Psychology from National University in La Jolla, California. She will be strengthening NCN’s internal infrastructure to support organizational growth and ensure we continue serving Native communities. Stephanie is deeply committed to helping Native communities access the financial support needed for growth and resilience in a dynamic landscape.
Please join us in welcoming Alex and Stephanie to the NCN family! We look forward to the positive impact they’ll make for NCN and the communities we serve.
