Yesterday, the CDFI Fund announced its Technical Assistance (TA) Awards for FY 2024, including its TA Awards for Native CDFIs through the Native American CDFI Assistance (NACA) Program. The CDFI Fund awarded a total of $3.72 million in NACA TA funding to a total of 10 Native entities from among 15 such applicants, a group that included the Native CDFI Network (NCN).

“It is our great delight to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the CDFI Fund by announcing the CDFI and NACA Program Technical Assistance Award Recipients,” said CDFI Fund Director Pravina Raghavan. “It is fitting that in this combined round, the CDFI Fund was able to award the largest number and amount of TA Awards in the history of the program.”

Of the 10 NACA TA recipients, seven are certified Native CDFIs and three are emerging Native CDFIs; nine are loan funds and one is a credit union.

TA Awards of up to $400,000 are used by certified and emerging CDFIs to build their organizational capacity to provide new or expanded Financial Products and Services or become certified as a Native CDFI.

“We congratulate our fellow NACA TA award recipients on yesterday’s announcement,” said NCN CEO Pete Upton. “NCN looks forward to supporting these Native CDFIs as they use their awards to achieve Treasury certification and expand their financial services for Native communities.”
