Greeting Native CDFI Leaders/NCN Members,

As the largest national network of Native CDFIs, the Native CDFI Network is doing its part to ensure that Indian Country and specifically Native CDFIs receive their fair share of the significant funding available through the Inflation Reduction Act and its Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF), which provides Native CDFIs with the opportunity to diversify their lending portfolios and meet the demand for clean energy solutions in Native communities.

To that end, we are joining together with our Community Builders of Color Coalition partners to gather important information that will help us articulate the extent of the need for GGRF funding for Native CDFIs. We can only do this with your help. We respectfully request that Native CDFI leaders complete the two short surveys shared below by next Wednesday, March 22 so that Indian Country and Native CDFIs get what they deserve from this critical source of federal funding.

The Purpose of these Surveys: is to demonstrate that the Coalition is a national, not regional group; inclusive, not exclusive; established, and not new to the low-income and disadvantaged communities that will receive the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Funds. The information from the surveys will help our application demonstrate our lending activities against energy burdens within Justice 40 communities, and will show we are already in Justice 40 communities doing lending, which means that we are best positioned to use the GGRF funding efficiently for maximum impact. We will need lending activities or other financial activity by zip code/census tract to perform this analysis on the Coalition. Below are the surveys:

Thank you in advance for participating in the survey! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Pete Upton
