Native Partnership Gathering: Leveraging Resources to Advance Homeownership and Economic Development
This gathering will focus on “Leveraging Resources to Advance Homeownership and Economic Development,” and aims to strengthen the relationships between tribes, Native CDFIs, nonprofit organizations, NeighborWorks network organizations, and other key stakeholders.
Our goal is to foster collaboration and shared learning, while uplifting best practices in tribal partnerships, highlighting the success stories of Native CDFIs, and advancing solutions that promote Native homeownership and economic development.
This three day event will begin on Tuesday, February 25 with a welcome lunch and community tour of Nupchi Xo’ Oy, a 40-unit quality affordable housing for Tule River Tribe and Porterville Community Members. Nupchi Xo’ Oy was completed in collaboration with Self Help Enterprise (SHE). Learn about the robust onsite resident services program that includes job training, health and wellness services, financial training, homebuyer education and a variety of youth afterschool activities.
The following days will be in-conference and workshop days hosted by NeighborWorks America and the Native CDFI Network. Sessions will focus on best practices for lending and tribal partnerships, coalition building, and household savings with an emerging Clean Energy Finance market that centers Native CDFIs as the cornerstone.

Helpful Tip: The ICS file is a universal calendar. If you use a Mac, click on the ICS file listed in the drop down. It may open your Mac or Apple calendar but it also goes to your downloads folder. You can now go to Outlook, click File > Open > On my Mac, and at the top of your downloads find the ICS file. The Outlook Import to calendar box will appear and click done.
